Shanfeng Dong

Mr. Shanfeng Dong graduated from the cities programme of London School of Economics and Political Science, and has pioneered Sustainable Urban Practice in China since 2002.   Starting from the first world-leading Dongtan Eco-city (a China-UK joint pilot approach in Shanghai), Shanfeng has expanded his involvement in Smart Sustainable Development and Standardization in China leading cities including Beijing, Tianjin, Qingdao, Hangzhou, Kunming etc., covering 9,738 sq.km land, accommodating well-being of 40 million people.

Shanfeng co-founded the first Green Building Research Institute in China in 2011, specializing in green building evaluation.   By Representing China, Shanfeng has contributed actively in ISO/TC268 since 2013, and has served as the convener of ISO/IEC 17021-8, and co-project leader of ISO 37104.

Shanfeng has successfully supported the establishment of several international initiatives, including the China-France Standardization Cooperation on Sustainable Business District in 2015, the China-UK Standardization Cooperation on Urban Management Information Framework in 2017.   He has also supported the successful NWIP approval of ISO 37108 on Sustainable Business Districts, PWIP approval of ISO/PWI 24222 on Sustainable Small and Medium-Sized Cities, and the UK-China led ISO 37106 revision.

Shanfeng jointly initiated the International Smart Sustainable City Club (ISSCC) in 2017, and is now in the process of initiating an international think-tank for Smart & Sustainable Standardization.

Since 2018, Shanfeng has been appointed by SAC to serve as the Committee Manager of ISO TC 321 (Transaction Assurance in E-Commerce).
